Sacrum

sacrum
noun a flat triangular bone, formed of five sacral vertebrae fused together, located between the lumbar vertebrae and the coccyx. It articulates with the coccyx and also with the hip bones. See illustration at PELVIS in Supplement (NOTE: The plural is sacra.)
